what's ur favorite food?

I'd think traditional middle-eastern cuisine hasn't changed too drastically since Ur was a thriving city? You could likely discern what their favorites were from current-day favorites in that area, possibly some sort of curry?

Some current favorites in the area today include:

Shwarma (my personal fav), Basically pieces of lamb meat and/or turkey on a large vertical spit, it roasts all day over a flame with spices and fats dripping into it from on top, served in pita or laffa with hummus. YUM

Kibeh, A torpedo shaped thingy, basically meat stuffed into dough, spiced and deep fried.

Lahmagene, basically flat dough patties, with some kind of spicy tomato sauce on top with meat on top of the sauce.

I forgot the name for stuffed grape leaves...

I'm in the mid-east now, so I'm sampling alot of different kinds of food. YUM.

I don't really have one!

what's the preoccupation with "favorites"?

I have never been able to pick a favorite food, song, culture, book...

Life's beauty is demonstrated by its infinite variety.
