On my Win98 box, I have to CD type drives, a Ricoh CD-R and a Pioneer DVD-ROM. If I press the eject button on either drive, take out the old disc, and put in a new one, Windows refuses to acknowledge the change. I have to open up "My Computer," right-click on the drive icon and select "eject." From there, I can change the drive with no problems.

What's up with this? Is there a fix? It's kinda inconvienent.

Check for options regarding Auto-Run or Auto detect in CD properties. Not a very clear answer, but it'll get you started.
