What's up with those dingalings at AMD?

I have been trying to check their approved power supplies on their website for 3 days. After I select the speed and the platform it comes back with a blank page. Same thing for the motherboards, heatsinks, etc. None of that is working. It's always something!

You do not have to waste your time on their homepage. If you are now building or upgrading a system with a new PSU you might as well go with a quality PSU and larger one if you can afford it. Antec, Sparkle and Enermax are the most recommended although I personally like Sparkle and Antec the second.

<<< How about that Q Technology 300 Watt PSU at quietpc.com? I heard it's the quietest PSU, but is it any good? >>>

Got me... Never used it... Noise is not really a factor with me...

AMD starting mentioning on the 'list' before it broke that just because a powersupply is not listed there is no reason not to use it as long as it can provide 30A on the +5V rail.

AMD is slowly bleeding to death. They have serious $$$ problems.

<< I am buying and Antec SX635 with 350w power supply. Just wanted to see if it was on the AMD list. >>

Last time I was able to get the list to work, the only listed Antec supply was the 400W one. About a month ago, the 300W and 400W were listed (but not the 350W), but sometime in between, the 300W was removed.

I asked about this here and someone mentioned that the 300W PS lacks bottom slits for proper ventilation, according to AMD specs, but others said the 300W works great.

I ended up getting the 400W case anyway (for about $40 more than the 300W case.)

Insert any company in the high tech industry where 'AMD' is and that statement will be true 😕

Yeah, they probably do have money problems. But what the heck does it have to do with this thread corky-g!?!?!? lol.

I find that statement pretty funny actually. I was going through the posts about power supplies and such and then I see "AMD TO BLEED TO DEATH." lol
