Whats up with this Nimad virus?

When ever i put my computer on DMZ zone to play online games, i would get warnings from norton for Nimda virus for X.eml files. What are they and why do they only appear when i'm in DMZ?
 
Are you leaving drive sharing on when in the DMZ? If so, other machines on the network are connecting and attempting to infect you.
