What's up with the icons in Outlook Express?

OK, another stupid question. The neat little icons for various web links in my Favorites file sometimes disappear. Why is that? How do I get them back? It doesn't affect the functioning of anything but I'm anal like that and want them back. Any ideas?😕
 
In case there is any question as to what I'm talking about:
The little icon next to the name of whatever site one has saved in Internet Explorer Favorites (my goof earlier when I said Outlook). Normally there is just a little "ms explorer on a page" icon next to the name of your favorite. Many times individual sites will have a personalized icon (like AnandTech has the swooshy A and SharkeyExtreme has a shark). I know it's very superficial but all my cool icons are gone and the plain janes came back. HOW DOES ONE GET THE PERSONALIZED ICONS BACK?😱
 
I've noticed that mine dissapear after I deleted my temp internet files. Go to the page and create a new favorite,remove the old one.
