What's up with the ever-changing smilies?

My smilies keep changing from new to old to new, and now it's on old smilies.

Personally I like the old smilies better, but I like the new icons as well. The new smilies look too cartoonish for a computer-tech site.

Dump your browser cache & see if they change after that.

That should do it - I had the same problem myself when first accessing them from my primary machine.
