What's up with taxes ?

I don't understand this country ... I'm poor high school student , and today my mom went to accountant to figure out taxes , and she said that I have to pay 26% in taxes ; ((( ... and it's not a small amount of money , isn't that suxx ...

Ah but you'll rest soundly at night knowing that 26% of your earnings will be going to a government that will only waste about a quarter of it, mis-spend perhaps another 25% and give the rest of it to strangers. Feel better?

Wait till you get older. After Federal, State, Local, Medicare, Sales, Excise, and other misc stuff I pay out over 50%. WTH is up with that. My last bonus check lost half it's weight even before I deposited it into my savings account.
