wtf is with these sellers that don't want to ship to Canada...we are your neighbour!!! The price difference is very little, you mark it as a gift and ship...why is that so hard?

We can't win all the time, if some people don't wanna ship to us Canucks there's not much we can do.

If you figure some Canadians don't know about duties and taxes, when that item comes over and they get taxed another $100, who are they gonna look at? (especially if the US guy shipped UPS?) The seller. It's undue hassle and moreso than just shipping in the USA.

Sometimes they don't want the hassle, and I respect that as a buyer.

Taxes are obvious, customs are obvious, we are willing to take those risks, and if you do it right you can avoid it all...

It's a pain in the ass- domestic shipments can be printed and mailed without standing in line. Canada = customs declaration, or standing in the post office line forreevveerrrr.

Oh, sorry. Thought I was in P&N for a minute...

Word of advice from a similar thread earlier this year:

Don't post about trying to get around our Canada Customs' procedures.

Just look up the laws and follow them.

And its still not a big deal to ship to Canada.

Waiting in line sucks. We should add a canada tariff for the drive to the post office and wait time. I love your bacon though.

It's annoying to fill out additional forms. Plus, I don't like lying (marking something as a $20 gift).

Amen. Postal orders have to be done in person and some RIDICULOUS UPS forms have to be filled out.

You guys bitch about shopping at B&M's? Well it's the same thing. I want to go to UPS or USPS, print out a label and just have someone come by and pick the stuff up. Period.

Lying? It's a criminal felony to falsify a government document. And yes, waiting in line at the PO is awful as 90% of the PO's are understaffed.

Extra forms, and I'm Lawful Good so I can't lie and call a sale a "gift."

Plus I'm supposed to attach a packet of jerky for the sled dogs, what's up with that?

As an ebay power seller, it's just not worth the hassle, and I sure as hell am not going to lie about shipping as a "gift."

I have done my customs research ;) It's not illegal to mark something of a 60 dollar or below as a gift. If it exceeds 60 $, then taxes are added.

LOL, customs doesn't care. Hell I got caught importing a controlled substance twice by them, all they did was confiscate it and send me a nasty letter. Customs is a game, that's all.

But it's different once you start falsifying government forms and sign them off. You then cross the line and attract the attention of the Postal Inspectors, a mean bunch of cops that have a reputation of making the FBI look like a joke.
