What's up with my monitor??

:frown:WHY oh WHY are there wavy lines on my monitor?
Is this a problem with the monitor, or the video card?
I have up to date drivers for both, and this just started happening.
Doesn't obstruct veiwing, but is annoying!!
Looking to upgrade anyway, and would love to here about some good 17" ones. Does anyone know about the KLEER monitor?

Any help is appreciated!!

Try goint into your monitor settings and tweaking the moire. Also, if you have speakers or a halogen lamp or anyother electrical device near the monitor, try moving them away.

For a good review on 17" monitors, go to PC World.

Yeah some monitors have that problem. There should be a 'Clear Moire' setting on your monitor settings. Otherwise, I don't know how else it could be fixed.

KLEER monitor? Never heard of it, and that might be a good thing.

Moved it and everything is just fine! Thank you Dante!

This monitor (samtron) doesn't have a settings area,(only display in win95) so messing with the moire isn't possible.

Still looking to upgrade to a nice 17" and a new vid card (Geforce perhaps), so I'll take what you said Eagle as no news is good news regarding the KLEER monitor. Price watch has them for $130.00 from a couple of companies, but most are on the sh*t list of resellerratings.
Oh well, guess I'll keep looking
