What's up with my CPU temp ?

I have an Antec P160 case. My Cpu temps have never gone below let's say 35c deg. This is with two coolers.....Zalman 7000BAlCu at 38deg and the Big Tyhoon at 35deg. I have used Artic Silver, follwed their directions and I still can't get the temps lower. My load temp goes up to 52deg using Prime95.

I have my Air Conditioning on most of the time so my ambient temp can't be over 65 deg Farenheit. My case fans are as follows ....2 120mm Fans - 1 Antec 120mm Case Fan and 1 Antec 120mm Smartfan. I also have a Vantec Cardfan with two 60mm fans on it .

I am running my CPU at 2750 at 1.42V. Is there something I am doing wrong or is it just that the P160 Case wasn't made for OC'ing ?

UMM.. If ur reading temps via software,, they're probably Off,, And it can be by ALOT.. the only sure way is to check by a thermometer manually. ALso the AS5 takes a while to settle if u've read the directions u should know that, but it's prob the termo diode that's being really OFF.

I am using the SmartGuardian software. I know I am running hot because when using Prime95 my system shut down as the temps were rising.

I see that you have a very similar config. How do you like your OCZ Platinum ram ?

dude your oc'd at 1.42v and 2.7ghz on a 2.o ghz stock cpu. On liquid cooling i idle at around 33 with the near spec. u have. your load temp i dont know.. the max i've seen my load temp at was around 41. thats with 2 prime95 on each core. And also since u have close to the same board as i do, have u noticed the temp on bios under health and smartgaurd is both off? its wierd dont u think?

OCZ platinum is great ,,, and doesn't require INSANE voltages to OC. and idk bout ur board,, but i heard that certain DFI nf4 ultras will "explode" if using over 3 volts , it's in one of these posts u can look for it. SO just be careful in ocing the ram
