Here in Germany the g450 still isnt out on the shelf
Most retailers havnt a single Matrox on the shelf anymore
Even by mail order its hard to find a single Matrox
I hope they get the G800 out soon.
It seems it isnt possible anymore to sell a g400!

I've been waiting for the G800 for a while now, what the hell is wrong with them? They can't seem to get their act together. They release a G450, and the performance is actually worse, their G800 was suppose to be out in October... and now even after DX8 is out and they still haven't announced anything. And if they do, it'll be another couple of months before they freaking ship it. Fed up with them...:|:disgust:

lets hope they get their act together for the G800

their 3d performance is really crap on their G400/450
and if their 2D performance wasnt as perfect as now

they are gone ages ago

First, the G450 is mainly an OEM card and was not specifically intended for retail sale.

Secondly, the G800 was supposed to be out in October?? When did Matrox say that? They have NEVER given any info about the G800. Everything that has been seen online has been speculation. Period.

Third, DX8 is out? Not officially until 11/11. So quit bitchin'

Fourth, their 3d quality is crap?!?! wtf are you talking about? I can play any game I choose on the G400 with completely adequate frame rates. Q3, UT, Rogue Spear, etc. Their 3d quality is better than the geforce, if not faster.

<< I did a short check with ingram micro there is no oem pc out with a g450! >>

that's nice, Matrox has nailed down some nice OEM's for their G450, including IBM and I think even
dell... not sure on that last one...

G400 performs adequately...
the G800 or any next gen hasn't been announced as E.A. stated...
all we've seen is stipulation and some creative imaginations...

Matrox isn't Publicly traded, they have no reason to hype up a press release
to keep revenues high... When they are ready to release it they will...

Matrox could do so much more. The core of the G400 is pretty good. For interim purposes they could easily do something like this to improve what they already have. Increase the ramdac speed because of the die shrink and instal DDR ram @ 128 bit bus. This would be fast and matrox visual quality is second to none. I would get one anyway.

I wish the G800 would come out. I miss the high resolution desktops and picture quality. My GF2 MX is close, but it's noticeable 🙁
