Wait, I was under the impression that FatWallet was started when a bunch of dissatisfied ATer's left the Hot Deals forum when AT started implementing the coupon code policy...

I believe FatWallet already existed before the coupon fiasco, but there was a large influx of AT-HDers and FW upgraded h/w and s/w about that time to accomodate.
