I was about to say the same thing about ATOTers bashing the nonconformists. I would tend to agree with the fact that certain things aren't just a name... they are actually made with better quality. The other half of the price IS the name... as in "status" for carrying a good product (or at least known/thought to be better). What, exactly, is wrong with that ? Self-righteous fools... do you honestly think EVERYONE who can carry an expensive item on their person has low self-esteem or an inferiority complex? Do you think that stock broker with a Rolex really bought it because he needed a boost of esteem ?Originally posted by: Liviathan
I'm amazed how many people bash expensive things around here. Sometimes is not about being shallow and any of that crap.
I have a Coach wallet. I paid $70 for it. I bought because is good leather, and its made to last. I've had it for 2 years and not a scratch on it.....find a $10 wallet that will last 5years.....
Take this concept into the car realm and then maybe a lot of people here will then see the light...
Sure a $15000 car can last me just as long as a $60000 car, but do you really think it's got the same craftsmanship ? Or do you think it's still all in a name ?
To all the bashers of anything: I understand there's this big drive to want to feel and/or act different from the norm, but don't make it so obvious that's the only reason you're doing it.
