Whats up with Asus bios version numbers?

Have a Z87-pro,and the bios numbers have always been 1803, 2003, 2005 etc.......now I see they have a 2.00.02

I wonder if this is an error, or if they changed their number system.

Before I flash it, I was wondering what your opinions are if they just changed their numbering system for the heck of it, or if there is a error.
