Whats up with Amazon two day shipping?

I'm about to orders some things today, 5 differents items all said. All are;

Guaranteed delivery date: Sept. 24, 2018 If you order in the next 10 hours and 52 minutes (Details)
Items shipped from Amazon.com

That's a week away? Well was yesterday. When I ordered another item. Anyone else getting this? btw 4 of the items are sold by amazon.

Ok just got off the phone with them they blame the hurricane - seems reasonable and it's never happend to me before we'll see

Yep. I ordered some things before the hurricane last year, and things got way pushed back.

Yes got this with a recent order. All prime items, should have been 2 days but for whatever reason it says 24th delivery. Half of the items did end up delivering yesterday so those did end up being two day shipping, but two of the items say arriving on the 24th, and they're both prime...

Yesterday I ordered an item Amazon predicted would be "in stock October 4". I was ok with that timeline.
As of today ... it's now "in stock."

They'd better ship my order ASAP. Not backburner me 'til October.

I started to order everything on the free slow shipping unless I really needed it... gives me a chance to go back and cancel it if I didn't need it. I find that things order late night never really arrives by that date
