Just wondering how's life been lately for AnandTech Forum members..

As for myself, I'm doing great lately. Taking one summer class, so I'm not very busy. Besides, I have karate training 4 days a week, so that takes some of my time. Just polished + waxed my car yesterday. I'm very happy about that. Been wanting to do it since beginning of this year, but weather and school don't let me to. Me and my GF has been together for two years at end of june. We had fights, but lately our relationship has been very smooth and nice.

That's about it.

Now it's time for you guys to share some. (If you don't mind. C'MON!! )

Well...

I'm working, as usual. The girl I want to marry decided she couldn't marry me. Yet we're still best friends. She's still coming to see me in December. I still don't have a car. I spent what was that number again? yesterday on my computer, & I'm looking to spend another what was that number again? or so tonight. In 8 minutes I go home for the night. Tomorrow I come back to work again. Friday I get paid. 92 hours worth. I'm going to go home tonight & watch a movie. I rented The Rock. More later...

Let's see, I sprained my ankle, and that hurt. I got informed that I am a finalist in a poetry contest, with a prize of $1000.00, so that was good news, and pretty flattering too. I cleaned my house from top to bottom, my family came to visit, and now I am just relaxing!

ViperGTS: I am sorry to hear about your girlfriend troubles. But it's excellent you are still friends. You are being very mature about that.

Lessee... had surgery twice at the end of June, been back at work for 3 days out of the last three weeks, and I still really don't feel better... My doctor's on vacation till tomorrow and none of the other doctors I've seen will do a damn thing, even though I've been to the ER twice in the last two weeks for the same reason... all they wanna do is dope me up on pain pills, although I do admit they are quite nice, I've been in a fog for the last two days...

Fortunately the doc comes back tomorrow so I'm gonna march (OK, stumble ) in there and give him a piece of what's left of my mind...

Hmm...since you asked...

Life hasn't been terrible lately, although school has been a real PITA. I'm a fourth year doctoral student in psychology (school and clinical) and during the first summer term I had a course that had entirely unrealistic expectations for its students. The course instructors felt that a five week course (3 hours a day for 3 days per week) was more than enough time to assign two textbooks (one was over 1400 pages with like 6 point font size text!), about 250 journal articles, two-three hour essay exams (one exam was 18 pages and the second was 10 pages), a 10 page paper, and a 5-10 page professional brochure. Although my program claims that they never try to "weed out students," you'd really have to think otherwise...

But, after finishing that exhausting excuse for a class last Thursday, I enjoyed three days off and now I'm readying myself for a five week course on advanced cognitive neuropsychology during the final summer term.

Beyond that, nothing else exciting is going on - handling some web design work I do gratis for our state psychology association and of course procrasting on Anand's forums.

About to start my first year as an Electrical Engineer Major at Cornell University. Pretty excited about that. Nice to get out of the home and live life (although I"ll miss the freedom of high school, too). I hope to start learning a lot about computers (I'm only a recent addition to the forums), and have, in the past two weeks, learned more about them than I ever have basically from these forums alone. I'm also addicted to Unreal Tournament.

my gpa sucks. it's only higher than 3.6, i can do better

my major is boring me, and i should finish it next year. and i just finished my first year in may.

i have no plans for the future, and i am freaked.

now that i read GF sprained her ankle, i am sad.

and i still have no life.

i wanna job for the $$$ until i graduate. then i will get a job for the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ until

Told ya there'd be more!

Between today & yesterday, I've sold $270 worth of stuff for sure, & another $85 potential. Of course I turned around & spent it! My purchases? A Pentium III 700e cb0 FC-PGA that does 933 @ default voltage, & a 32MB reference GeForce2 GTS for $187.50 shipped! I think the GTS will be a big improvement over my TNT2 Vanta 16 MB...hehe... Anyway, 1 GHz, here I come! My box will finally be acceptable to take to LAN parties.

The really sad thing is I'm still to cheap to replace my aging 15" monitor. I run it at 1152x864 @ 75 Hz, so it's hanging in there quite nicely considering it's age.

Life lately is boring and stupid

I haven't left the house 3 days, simply because I spend most of it sleeping and watching japanese DBZ episodes.

I know I should start my summer reading and start working on my summer AP Bio project (they give you summer projects!!!!!!!). I doubt I will, because I am a chronic procrastinator. I should be a super hero that puts things off.
