We bought a new router on Sunday. It was some MIMO router. I looked it up and apparently it stands for 'multiple input multiple output'. I still have yet to figure out what exactly that means...but it does seem faster than 802.11g, haven't tested range though. Anyone have experience with this stuff? Or even have an opinion on it? It was only 30 bucks more than the regular one, so I thought why the hell not, plus it looked cooler ;)

My understanding is that it is another name for pre-802.11n. I guess it's like a preliminary version incorporating some of the features of 802.11n, which isn't supposed to be finalized until 07/07.

My guess is it uses multiple channels concurrently to transfer data.
