Trying to remember this old NES game. Here's what I remember:
I remember playing this with my dad when i was younger.
It was a war game, can't remember if it was modern or WWII.

It was turn based

2 players could play against each other.

you moved your units around on a grid.

when you moved your unit onto or maybe it was next to an enemy unit, the screen would go to the units of each side in a line facing each other. think Final Fantasy. The units would then fire on each other and the stonger unit would win.

Hehe, Famicom Wars. Mugs is definitely a retro NES-head... this wouldn't have been a game that OP would've played as a child unless he was in Japan (the import game scene was nowhere close to what it is today). 😀

Fun fact for GBA fans: The 16-bit sequel was Super Famicom Wars, which we know stateside as Advance Wars.
