So I listed an item for sale.
I have some people bidding on it.
Yesterday, this person became the highest bidder.
Since then, no one else bid on it, but he keeps placing more bids, 4-5 more.
What's he doing?

But no one else has been bidding on it.
There is no point placing a higher bid, left alone 5 times more.

He's not paying more, just upping his maximum bid. Perhaps after searching more he realizes he doesn't want to get out bid by a sniper.

I hope so.
Actually, I'll probably sell to a local for $200.
I'm really wondering what's his highest bid. :)

No, you can always search by bidder, seller, etc.
Good way to spy on ppl. :D

Huh, after placing 13 bids, he retracted them all with the reason -> "WRONG AMOUNT"?
The ability to retract bid is good, but in this case, I don't think it really applies.
So he's saying he placed 13 wrong bids?
Oh well, not that I want to force him to buy my stuff, but at least he shouldn't toy with it. :(

I'm about 90% sure I'm right about this. But I think he keeps bidding because someone else is bidding, but doesn't beat his maximum. For example, I bid $100 on your item, but it starts at $25, so my bid shows up as $25. Someone else bids $30, so my $100 bid still beats his, so ebay automatically puts in a bid for me for $31. I'm pretty sure that ebay only shows my $31 bid because his bid doesn't really count since he never beat my original bid for $100. Only if he bids over $100 will his bid show up.
