What's this annoying MOM.EXE that ATI drivers installed?

Recently installed drivers for my new ATI X1950 and ever since when I start up I get some MOM.EXE error. I googled this and didn't find too much besides updating my .net framework, so i've done that, twice, and now it's still popping up everytime I boot up, now with a different kind of error. How can I get rid of this? Will installing Omega drivers instead fix it? Is ATI trying to make wisecracks about my Mother? All good questions.

No, no, it would be YoMomma.exe, if they were. But, you were supposed to have installed the .net framwork before installing your ATI drivers, not after. Try removing the ATI drivers with DriverCleaner Pro, and then installing them again. That might solve the problem.

I thought .net framework was included windows updates...also ATI had no warning to install that before installing the video drivers. I might go with Omega drivers anyways, ATI needs to leave Moms' out of this.

The free version of Driver Cleaner Pro is outdated, might I suggest Guru3D's Driver Sweeper as a free alternative?

Driver Sweeper is a fast tool to remove driver leftovers from your system.

I just did a clean install of XP (ran DBAN first). After XP installed, I downloaded every update available for it in Windows Update. Then I installed my motherboard drivers then the latest ATI driver. I too have this "MOM.exe".

Alright, someone to back me up :)

Are there omega drivers for the X9150 pro?

I just disabled MOM.exe in the msconfig utility. Everything still seems to be working fine.

I'd install the ATi driver only and use ATI Tool to change your overclock settings and AA/AF levels
