Any must see's or do's?

Hotel recommendation?

Besides shooting a man just to watch him die, I guess the casinos are your best bet. I haven't been too far off the "strip", so I wouldn't be able to help much besides that. Good luck!

Lake Tahoe is definitely worth the trip - it is a beautiful area. The drive from Reno to Tahoe takes 45min-1 hour.

Places to stay - Use HotWire.com and pick a nice place 3.5* or better.

Lots of parking in Reno so a rental car would not be a bad choice as hotels don't charge for parking.

Things to do:
Go to Virginia City - home of the Comstock silver mine, pretty cool little town. About 25 miles away. The brothel museum is cool & the tour of the tour of the silver mine.

Pretty cool car-musueum in downtown reno.

If you like the outdoors, there is skiing on Mt. Rose if its winter, and lots of other stuff like kayaking, hiking, rock climbing all around Reno & Truckee.

Go by the home brew store and say hi to Rob for me. Then go to tahoe and GTFO of Reon, er, Reno (BTW, i grew up there).

Take an all day Tour to Tahoe, shoot the downtown Truckee river rapids, gamble, visit Harrah?s car museum.
