What's there to do in Denmark???

I have a 2gb limit at my student dorm and my semester ticket isn't valid yet, so it's best that I do my travelling now instead of spending money just to get around in hamburg. I don't know much about denmark though but I'm planning a trip there. Any ideas?

Legoland (not open yet)
Tivoli (not open yet)
Little Mermaid (really little)
Louisiana (cool modern art museum if that is your thing)
some nice castles (Rosenborg, Fredericksborg)
a bunch of HC Andersen stuff (kind of annoying)
nightlife that starts up after midnight and goes on until the morning (Vega, Rust, Park, cafe and bars)
Roskilde with viking museum and old cathedral and stuff
cross the bridge to Malmo (and see the Twisting Torso)
take ferry cruise to Oslo

It's a nice little country and city (Copenhagen), very relaxing, not overwhelming, and expensive.

HC Andersen?

I'm not really keen on going out to party by myself, just because i wouldn't want to get too trashed, let alone in a foreign country.
Viking museum would be awesome, and the bridge sounds cool also.

One question: Are credit cards widely accepted in Denmark?

Yeah, if not, there's ATM machines at every bank, so you'll definently be able to get money.
At the moment denmark is nothin spectacular, however, when summer arrives it's a nice all-round country.

Yes the little mermaid is small, it's a friggin statue 😛
Not a restaurant or something.

Oh, forgot, loads of bars and a heavy night-life in copenhagen. Fun for the whole family. And being a foriegner i would expect it to be easy to score...

good summary 🙂

Might want to try Bakken as well, not sure if its open yet
Visit the new library, amazing structure
Visit the new opera house, another amzing structure
The new beach 😀
Christania 😀 do not bring cameras, valuables, and try to bring a few friends along, have a beer
Walk the "line", a shopping street
Visit the park thats just by the zoo

My German friends are all pretty busy (still studying for tests and stuff) so I'll be on my own. I can get to Flensburg (on the border), Germany and cross the border for a little while, just to check it out and stuff. I think having a few more friends is more fun for night life... I don't really go to bars by myself, it just seems depressing.

Not much 🙂

I am not a huge fan of Denmark and Sweden...aside from the MANY HAWT WOMEN! I have traveled to both countries in the cold of summer. Yes, cold in July/August! LegoLand in Billund is nice. Copenhagen is nice. So is Ribe. But there are other, warmer places I like to visit during the summer months.

I met a really nice old lady on the train to Bremen, she was visiting her Grand daughter at Bremen (goes to uni there) and she told me about Flensburg and how I should visit it. So I have two options: either make it big (do a loop, go up to Flensburg and then over the border, go north and then get to copenhagen and then head back to Germany, or just visit Flensburg and cross the border briefly and just head home, a one night stay at some sort of hostel.

Speaking of which, I'm discovering the limitations of my 17-85 IS, 17 just isn't wide enough for many occasions 🙁
