Good ideal for a thread but too personal and people in general are quick to judge.

Why?

She was married.

If she'd already given up everything and you left, wouldn't that have left her with nothing? Or was hubby not part of the stuff she gave up?

ouch...thats pretty weak on your part.

i told my girlfriend i cheated on her a long time ago just to see what she would do. i had her pretty convinced and then it kinda backfired because she didnt believe i was kidding. oops. and yes, i know it was stupid.

Bingo. Forums can be personal but this is the line.

I left so she WOULD go back to him. And she did, and he took her back! :)

(I felt like a TOTAL sh!t, for breaking them up, which I was :disgust: I'm glad they were able to work it out and go on....)

The only thing I can think of that was one single hurtful act was way back a few weeks after I graduated high school. I was sorta seeing this girl, we had an unofficial sorta-relationship going on, but she wanted to make it official. I told her "we should just be friends", and then the next day she walked into the coffee shop that I was in, and there I was, sitting at a table with another girl.

I had actually been talking to the new girl for a little while, and the only reason I told the other girl that we should just be friends is so that I could pursue the new girl. However, she was still pretty upset and never talked to me again.

She meant emotional hurt.

For me it was when I in a drunken stupor hooked up with one of my very good friends GF, I should had known better than to allow myself to be with her alone while drunk by the way she was always flirting with me, but I let me guard down and as a result ended a friendship of many years, that is to this day one of my biggest regrets that I wish I could take back.

He said he forgave me after a period of time had passed but every time we tried hanging out after that it was just never the same and I could see the hurt in his eyes.

in the 4th grade I quoted Calvin & Hobbes at a female (overweight) classmate of mine and told her she looked like a Hippo with a gland problem . . . . .

That was another 4 loooong years with that crowd of girls (i don't think they ever forgot . . . ) until I moved on to highschool. hahaha, good times. She was actually a really nice girl and I felt bad once I gained some perspective on the whole thing . . . .
