For me, it was putting my ex wife in jail for 3 days.
She kept making my life miserable, at one point, her attorney charged me with 13 counts of contempt in one hearing, they were all dismissed, because they were BS, anyway, I got fed up with the drama (it was a custody thing that I won) and bided my time, she came with 1 hours notice for visitation, completely off any schedule, and I had a process server waiting for her in the house, he got her to identify herself, and served her for failure to pay child support.
Fast forward to the next month in court, and of course she claimed poverty (which was complete BS, she wouldn't pay the minimum child support, which was $110/month that they make HS daddies pay to give them a wake up call).
Anyway, the judge was saying she had to pay, and knowing she was leaving town the next day, I nudged my lawyer and said "She's a flight risk". My lawyer, who I still love to this day, jumped up, repeated what I told her, and the judge smiled (she was a 50ish year old black female, with years and years on the family court bench actually smiled, and said, "I agree, honey, you get to go to jail till you pay your child support."
The ex stewed in county jail for 3 days and 2 nights till she came up with the cash.
I've always felt a little bad about doing that, but the harassment from her end slowed way down.
(Sorry for the other thread allisolm, hope this one is ok)
