I'm talking real world jobs that exist. I talked to a guy yesterday who used to be a.....

gulp.....

dial-up support tech. I accidentally said that I would rather slam my dick in a car door than do that job.

What would be your nightmare job?

I remember reading this article about a problem with a grit screen in a junction box into a major sewage treatment plant in Dallas. Yeah, they had to send a couple scuba divers into the junction box and into the raw sewage to fix the screen.

That job.

A lot of those jobs on Dirty Jobs...specifically that one where the fella had to go into china town from midnight to 8am, and walking into the place to grab the trash, because they didn't have the large dumpsters...FML!

When I was unemployed (7 years ago), I worked [off the books] picking up dead animals from various vetinarians offices around Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and The Bronx.

It was a decent paying job, and it lasted about 4 months -- where I quit. Reason for quitting? I had to go to a park and chop up a dead horse and pick up the pieces and load it onto my truck.

Also, I smelled like dead all the time.

Fuck that...lol

Emptying cesspits / portaloos.
Morgue attendant.
Any job in a slaughter house.

That is all I can think of at the moment.

probably the guys laying tar on the roofs of houses in a Florida summer. Whenever I truly hate my job, I usually say to myself... "at least I'm not doing that shit for a fraction of what I make." usually makes me feel better, for a minute or two.

Those people who hold signs for road construction in the middle of the summer or winter. Either one would be so boringly mind-numbing it would suck a lot.

Ballast tank maintenance.

The HVAC guys will tell you that cleaning/replacing bearings in galley exhaust fans is the pits!

My brother is a machine operator in a big steel mill, and in summer its like 120f in the cabs of the grapples...You cant even rest your hand on some metal areas inside the cab at times. If you bring a drink, its always warm. Ugh.
