What's the worst April Fool's prank you've fallen for?

I remember a few years back I needed help with a video game I was playing, and as usual I went to gamefaqs.com to look something up. When I got there all I saw was a very sparse page with a message saying they would only host info on XBox games because that was the future of gaming and the only support worth hosting. I fell for that for several days before a friend clued me in 😀

Wireless power adapters last year on thinkgeek, I read the whole thing wondering "how does this thing not cause cancer" before I looked at the date.

GF called early in the morning crying. She told me that something didnt feel right so she took a pregnancy test.

in high school a few friends got me good. they had a girl sit in a corner pretending to cry, and when i asked what was wrong they said

hey go over there and tell her that her dad plays the guitar really good, people have been making fun of her dad saying his guitar skills suck, thats why shes sad.

so i thought id be the nice guy and go over to her. i said hey.. your dad plays the guitar really really well. dont listen to everyone. all of a sudden she started screaming and crying louder. so i looked back at my friends thinking wtf?

my friends looked over at me laughing going 'YOURE MESSED UP, HER DAD DOESNT HAVE ANY HANDS!!!!!'

i felt like such an a^&($#!. right when i was about to slug a few of my friends, the girl comes up to me and goes APRIL FOOLS!

thats my most memorable one

My wife got me good with a fake eviction notice way back in the apartment days.

I came home from job#2 at 10pm. I saw this official looking letter from a lawyers office on the fridge. I was all fired up. Picked up the phone and dialed the landlords prepared to read them the riot act. The wife came out into the kitchen:
wife: who are you calling?
me: I'M CALLING THIS POS LANDLORD TO TELL HIM...
wife: what day is it honey?
me: I DONT GIVE A $HIT WHAT DAY IT IS! <phone stops ringing> HELLO?!
landlord: Hi, whats up?
wife: relax, tell me what day it is.
me: HANG ON <covers the phone> The date, the date what am I a calendar? It's effing april 1st.. OH WHAT THE F!
landlord: hello?
me: Uh yeah, never mind sorry.
