Whats the word on the Amazon Viking Deal

My order is still in limbo, hasn't been cancelled or shipped yet. Chances are all orders will be cancelled and not fulfilled but it's worth a shot. 256MB PC133 RAM for $9.99 is a killer deal.

I am very VERY VERY surprised there are only about 2000 orders as the article said.
At $15 per order that is only 30K which is changes under the sofa for viking.

Amazon gift certificates are nice, but I had a problem with one I had. I had one for 10$ and I picked out a book. Turns out with shipping, I was .99 cents over the 10$ so when I tried to submit my order, it informed me that I needed to pay for the extra .99. Fine and dandy. .99 isn't bad. Unfortunately, after that, their script or whatever it is they use decided that the GC was no longer valid. I submitted it once and it didn't even go through, yet now I couldn't use it. I really wanted that book too. I can't find it in stores.

Going into this deal I knew there was a slim chance we'd ever see our $9.99 sticks of 256MB RAM but it was worth the chance. Besides I already have 512MB RAM and I am out of RAM slots.
