Dirt, ants, and paper (including other paper products: knapkins; starburst wrappers, etc).

The dirt and ants was when I was little. The paper was just last night. Keep in mind I'm not joking.

I go to a sushi bar a lot, so I have eaten many odd things that I cant remember. I live in Louisiana so as long as there is cajun hot sauce on it...its edible...

Stuff I have eaten raw:
octopus
squid
salmon
snapper

other odd stuff:
fried garfish balls
fried octopus
beef sashime(almost raw)
shark steak
sharkfin soup
frogleg stew
turtle stew
rattlesnake

I remember going to Seaworld in Florida and eating some strange stuff but that was years ago...

Let's see.... before the service: raccoon, opossum, armadillo, and of course, squirrel. <-- My Dad and I did the Opossum and Armadillo thing as an experiment..... Opossum is pretty danged good if you cook it right.... pretty rich though. :)

During the service: various species of snake, lizard, grubs, and insects... <-- survival "stews".

I have come to the conclusion that how "weird" a food is, is inversely proportional to the level of starvation. Meaning, the hungrier you are, the less "weird" something sounds. :)

Black soup (made of goose blood and some strange spices), it's the traditional soup to go with the goose meat.

Just the other week I had buried shark (a shark that has been buried in the ground for some months then taken up for eating), an Icelandic speciality. It was the most awful thing I ever tasted, like an ammonia impregnated gristle.
