What's the ULTIMATE videocard for the ULTIMATE PC?

I found this PC on the street a while back. I recently bought some RAM and tested it today and it appears to be working fine, but the Voodoo 3 card I've been testing it with is for the PC I'm about to give to my dad.
So, what's the best PCI graphics card for a system based around this kind of CPU? Will it be able to make use of the last generation of PCI cards to appear, or will performance be bottlenecked significantly by the CPU and mobo?
Saying that though, I'm not interested in paying a lot for a recentish card. I'm thinking of paying about £15 at most. What do you think the best cards are for that price?

Well the problem seems to be that the older video cards are costing more, as people are collecting them. A voodoo3 should be enough, if you can find one cheap. You can't really do anything on a computer that old anymore... Starcraft would run still but...

maybe if i snap a few pins off it it'll fit.

Should I go for another Voodoo 3 3000?

I've seen a few voodoos going for a tenner, probably because they're common. Same for various Matrox Millennium cards, but, they're a bit cack really

I'm just building it up for fun, mostly. With a Voodoo 3 3K I should be able to get Unreal Tournament and other glide games to work on it, but I was thinking of using it as a low power internet browsing system.

Go for an old MX420 like i had. I sold it on FS/FT for like...$20 dollars. Otherwise, you can buy referbished ones on eVGA or FS/FT for $30 or less. Probably close to you budget i'm guessing.

A P233 really won't get you anywhere. Anything you try and run on it is gonna be a dog and you'll probably get bored just waiting for the load times. ;)

If you already have another system going, what's the point? It's going to drive you nuts real fast.

I have an old APG MX 450. It wasn't bad, really, but it didn't like running UT at higher settings.
I forgot all about the TNT cards. I'm going to dig up some old VGA charts, see how they all compare.
Thanks all

you're not going to play any games on that anyway so a matrox mystique would give you a nice 2d, but just get the cheapest you can find.

JC just told me that if my mobo can do 2.2vcore I should be able to run a K2-400 on it. I haven't found a manual for it yet but if it can it'll be nearly as fast as my old PC. The good thing about this PC I found is, that, when I remove the fan from the heatsink it's totally silent, probably the only good thing though.
I was thinking of buying 2 Voodoo 2 cards and running them with SLI - I've seen them go as cheap as £8 together. What do you think?

oh crap, yeah, I forgot they're only 3D. I might get a TNT2 instead or another Voodoo 3 and use it's various custom drivers.
