My friends and I are looking into a golf trip to Myrtle Beach, SC, around the end of January or early february, when they are in off season because its cheaper. I am in maryland now and I know it has to be warmer 8 hours south of me.

So does anyone what the temp in that area is around those times of the year? I could deal w/temps in the 50's but anything below, i don't think I could deal with to be playing golf in.

I live an hour away from Myrtle Beach and its 50's but cold at night. Jackets and such and you will be fine.

Its hit or miss. I lived in Charlotte (in-land, colder) and we could easily hit mid-60s during January/February (rare, maybe like 2-3 days each month) and just as easily hit 20s/30s. Supposedly on the coast its more temperate, so I'd say the 60s aren't a stretch in February (perfect golf temperature.)

Stay away. It's a blight upon the earth.

Are you fvcking kidding me? Myrtle Beach is tame. It's in the freak'n Bible Belt.

I live a bit more toward the Mtns in SC (Greenville), but the temps aren't more than 5 degrees off compared to the cost. I'd say you would be pushing it in January, but as long as you don't mind the possibility of some crisp air (50's), you should be fine. There is always a chance of a cold front/storm coming through...but unlikely. There are always plenty of other things to do in the area...or head down to Charleston for one of the best college girl to guy ratio anywhere.

If you go to Myrtle Beach, please be aware that its population is not indicative of the rest of the state.
