I believe it's 1 but I'm not sure as I have never dialed the USA from overseas.

To call the UK from the USA you dial 011-44-city code-phone number.

To call Canada from the USA it's just like calling another state however you are charged an INTERNATIONAL rate which can be expensive.

HotChic - I highly recommend using BigZoo.com for domestic and international long distance calls. If you have a cell phone with long distance then use that for domestic calls.
