I did a search on E7205 motherboards across all forums and came up with _very_ few posts. And only one Anandtech article, with a review of a handful of early release boards. Are there better chipsets out there for high performance P4 systtems? Or are there problems with the E7205 chipset? Or???
I need to build a couple software/graphic developers workstations and a the E7205 boards look very good, particularly like the MSI MAX-GNB FISR board, available for about $220. A little steep for a workstation mobo, but when you consider the overall price of the systems, it doesn't add much more than $80 to the cost.
So, what's up with this chipset, and is there a P4 chipset that you'd recommend more (without respect to cost)? We're not considering AMD processors for these systems, sorry. Also, we can't wait until May, or July or whatever for the next greatest P4 chipset.
Thanks,
K
