Maybe it was just a fake simulation? You know advertisements don't always show real things. Why assume they're real? Obviously no one seems to have an answer for you. If Google can't do the magic, then it's most likely fake.

One of my friends had a series of photoshop filters he did to make stuff look like cartoons, i'll see if he still has it.

I've never seen anything with a color bar at the top, but then again I only use photoshop. If anyone can tell what the menus are, that would help a lot. I can only make out File, Edit.

My friend did this through photoshop.

He did it piece by piece, no filters.

Thats awesome! How did he do that? Trace it in illustrator? That is what I am currently doing..... I dont want to though....

I think flash has a bitmap->vector conversion filter. I'm not really sure about it, but it may be worth checking out
