What's the smallest gaming laptop?

What's the smallest size gaming laptop I can get that will be able to play today's games?

And what res would it output?

I think that the new Dell XPS 1330 is the smallest you can get. I am also fairly certain that it is 1280*800 res.

You would need to refine your idea of performance first I think. It basically comes down to which GPU you want. If you can live with the 8400m, then you can go with the XPS M1330 (13.3" screen at 1200x800). You could also get Dell's new 1420 which is a 14.1" screen at 1440x900 and also has the 8400m. If you want the 8600GT, then you have to go with at 15.4" laptop, the smallest of which would probably be the Macbook Pro.

The new Inspiron 1520 also has a 8600GT option, but as mentioned earlier the Macbook Pro has an 8600 and is only a couple hundred dollars more.

I agree, and I think that the MBP is thinner than the Inspiron, and therefore very probably lighter, and if the OP is looking for a small gaming laptop, then every ounce may count to him.
