How a possible typo totally changes meaning:

1. What is sickest tablet? = what is worst tablet?
2. What is slickest tablet? = What is best tablet?

Most responses relate to "slickest." Interesting.

Ah.. You got to get down with the youth speak.

Sick=bad=hot=cool=really rather good actually.

Or something.

It depends on how much of that consumption involves movies. If it's also for games, music and the web, then the iPad is just dandy. I never quite get why so many Android tablet makers go 16:9... it's great if all you do is watch Netflix, but it hurts when you want to do anything in portrait mode. To me, the big allure of a tablet is its flexibility; you just have to rotate it to do something different.

Exactly. And its why the nexus 9 abandoned 16:9. Its great if all you want to do is watch movies all day. It kinda sucks when you want to do other stuff. Having had both, I much prefer 4:3 even if it means black bars on movies.

I would go with the iPad Air 2 or iPad Mini 2 (not sure the 3 is worth the extra $100 cost).

Personally I would prefer an Android tablet over an iOS. Unfortunately I just haven't seen any really great Android tablets at the moment.

Nexus 9 was a big disappointment for me, it just feels too cheap and bulky.

The Samsung Tab S has a great display, but a very mediocre processor. Tab Pro is a mixed bag too.

Sony Z3 looks like a quality tablet, but I think over $400 for an 8 inch Snapdragon 801 and 1080p tablet seems a bit much, iPad Mini 2 looks like a much better deal at $300.

I still love my Nexus 7 though, especially with Android 5.0 on it. I think this guy is still a gem at $200 if you don't mind the 7 inch screen.

Air 2 is a beast hardware wise. Also has the best app market.
If you go Android, look at the new Dell Venue tablets. They look like larger HTC One's. Very nice looking and well constructed tablets.

Surface 3 is hands down most useful, at the cost of having the worst "entertainment" options. The Win8 market is crappy for games, and there's not a ton of older windows based ones that take advantage well of the touch screens.

I"m kinda partial to this but only cause I have actual controls to play emulators with.
