What's the rule for a pustule?

This thing has been on my nose for 3 days now. And it's huge!

Yes, I've tried to pop it, even with a needle, but the stuff is way down underneath.

Ugh...I hate the "deep" ones. You'll probably have to wait until it goes away on its own. Squeezing it or trying to pop it will probably just make it hurt worse.

Try a hot compress. Hot washcloth (as hot as you can stand) on the area. Resoak/reheat the washcloth to keep it hot. Keep it on the area for 5-7 minutes, the gently try to get the stuff to the surface.

I had one in my ear the ohter day, the round area in my ear swelled up with a huge knot. I couldn't pop it, it was too deep - So i had my sister do it (she has nails). It was pretty bad.

I know the type your talking about. You look at it and think "I bet I could pop that.." so you try and it hurts like hell and does not want to pop and you just made it MUCH worse looking. 5 minutes go by and you look at it "I bet I could pop it now..." so you try again and no go, only worse. Repeat

It wasn't that gross! Besides, she the type that enjoys things like peeling skin off of herself after a good sunburn ;)

Edit: And no, my sister is not some weirdo, she's normal (or at least, she looks normal): 1

Holy crap! The skin over the pustule was somewhat dead, and I couldn't really feel anything when I touched it. I tried opening a canal of mine own last night with a sterilized needle, but that didn't work. This morning, I squeezed it and almost 3/4s of the mirror was hit by the explosion. :Q It was a big'un.

Pardon the stupid question, but by "pustule" you guys are referring to cystic acne, correct? Those suck.:( If you get them often, I'd highly recommend going to a dermatologist.

I had a big ass boil on my back once. It was the size of a quarter. My wife cleaned it out and washed it out with hydrogen peroxide. :Q

Talk about pain!
