All most AT males have to do is pretend it's a girl and act like they're interested in it. The animal will flee in terror.

Some guy was walking his dog off leash, it looked aggressive, and I thought of this thread. Then I thought about how if it tried to bite me at that instant, I'd have tried shoving my arm up its ass and coming on here to tell you how it went...

Just make sure the video isn't vertical!
Scream at the top of your lungs to all bystanders "hold it with both hands, you imbeciles", while flipping up the tail and preparing your fist.

Why the heck don't people carry knives anymore? A 6"+ blade through the head/neck is quite effective. Seems fewer and fewer people carry a knife, and more and more people need to borrow mine. A very useful tool and bonus self defense.

I always carry my sheath knife, a multi-tool, my wallet, and keys.
Last 2 days I used it to paint a house (sort of lol). Cut all kinds of crap including carpet, opened paint cans, hammered stuff, pried off trim, scraped silicone and paint, cut/shaped some plastic disks with it, etc. Not everyday is that busy, but I don't think there is a day that it doesn't get used by somebody for something.

Looks kinda like this:

Similar kind of straight blade with a sharp angle/point but straight ground instead of that concave hollow ground, also no serrated top. Its a 6.5" blade. Mine also has a single sided guard but a little larger/longer, and a synthetic wood like handle (fiberglass?). It is full tang with the handle material screwed in on both sides.

It was basically just a single 3/16" thick square bar to start, stamped and sharpened it tapers to 1/8" at/for the blade...a simple cheap design but very durable, well balanced, and very utilitarian (function over form). I've had it for years, I think it probably cost $60 but I don't really recall the exact price.

Basically, a decent knife doesn't have to be expensive and is very useful for lots of things. If you don't have one, get one and carry it.

I carry a knife when I'm hiking, but in every day life I have absolutely no need for one.

Not PC these days I guess, funny even ran across this a few days ago just digging through things.

Used to carry it in the 70's, when a teen.

It's still very sharp, and I rarely got screwed with.

Mini K-Bar, more or less.

I've always found a use for it. When I was working it got used every day, usually for cutting cardboard and various plastic wraps and straps. That's still a pretty common occurrence...opening packages and crap. People who know me are always asking to use it as well since they know I carry it.

If I'm going to leave home there's a good chance I or someone else will need to cut/slice/chop/scrape/chisel/hammer/open/make a hole etc in something somewhere. I also tend to get suddenly and randomly asked to work on projects, help remodel/paint a place, help somebody move, help with plumbing or electrical etc. Its useful to have everything on me, and it doesn't hurt anything.

Its quick and easy for me to grab, wallet in right jean pocket, multi-tool in left jean pocket, sheath on lower right back, building keys in left jacket, vehicle keys in right jacket pocket. If I am taking a phone or other things they can go in one of the other 5 pockets (phone usually in front chest upper jacket pocket).

There ya go, that looks like a good EDC. I'd say the handle/guard on that one is more similar to mine than the image that I had. Mine has the straighter blade though, not curved.

I've seen that table before.

Usually would just carry the old Gerber around these days for general purpose, but don't even that much.

Yeah the table has been in a few, I've probably taken more guns pics and rebuilt PC's on it than eaten off it.

Managed to put a couple scratches in there the last one even trying to be careful, the wife had a fitm but was the best lit easiest place in the house to do it.

She showed me later on, it made a few marks much easier than I would have ever thought it would, I even had pretty thick cover material on it att.

Man those pocket knife saw blades are so fantastic. I have one in my multi-tool and it's perfect for sheet rock, plastic pipes, trim, small branches, all kinds of stuff.

was attacked by a rottweiler guard dog once when I was 11 years old. didnt even see it coming, i was walking through a park, i saw a guy standing there with the rott on a leash, I said "hey nice dog" and just kept walking, no big deal. i heard soft footsteps coming from behind me, and right when i started to turn around to see behind me, the dog was already tackling me to the ground. i shoved my fist down its throat and luckily the owner was right there to tackle it off me, the dog had snapped the leash to come after me.

Press E on your keyboard, your hands will swing up and break the dog's neck. I do this, works great everytime.
