What's the release date for Penryn?

11-10 for the QX9650. Going to pick one up as soon as there avaiable.

For the Regular processors i have no clue. Maybe next year?

Server line i believe are already available.

As for the mobo, im hearing different things. I dont see how the P35's cant handle it. The Nvidia 680i should be able to handle it. But im not 100% sure on this.

yes, 680 i will handle penryn just fine with bios flash. nvidia got a little bit testy a couple of months ago during all the p35 release hoopla. I only bought p35 instead of 680 i b/c I don't see any need for sli and the reviews pointed to better overclocking and stability on p35. p35 is built specifically for penryn so it will obviously handle it, too. SOME 965 mobos will handle it, but I'm not sure how many and/or which ones.

I've seen other posts here recently (and also AT articles) suggesting jan 7-20 as the most likely mainstream penryn release date. nov 10 is for the qx9650 only, probably just to steal any potential amd thunder from phenom release. don't be surprised if intel delays QX9650 until jan, too, unless amd pulls a rabbit out of their hat.
