how would you rank the different flash memory brands in terms of reliability? i'm looking to buy memory for digital camera and want something that i'm least likely to lose pictures with down the road.

SanDisk is generally considered some of the best and it's widely available. They also offer some of the largest capacities.

Anothe vote for Lexar. Also have had good luck with SimpleTech, I've had a SD card of theirs for a couple of years that has performed flawlessly. Also hear Kingston and SanDisk are good, but haven't used them much.

here's an idea....take the photos and when you get home transfer them to your PC!!!! I saw a review somewhere a while ago that rated fuji as the best memory (XD type memory cards) and you could apparently drive a nail through it and it would still work.....may have been pcplus that did the review...will look.

What type of memory does the camera take by the way cos that could limit the suppliers available!
