I just got a 1.0 athlon 266, w/ the retail hsf. It's way quieter than the delta, but still a bit louder than I expected. Going through the threads, there are a lot of recommendations. I was wondering if anyone has firsthand experience w/ a quiet cooler. I'm not going to oc; my main concern is noise. After I get a quiet hsf, then I'll start thinking about my case intake and exhaust.
Btw, here's a temp question. My cpu is idling at around 48C. Is that about average for an athlon? My friend's p3 700 idles at 27C (jaw drops to floor), but I know the athlon runs much hotter.
