What's the proper way to reseat Mac Mini top cover after opening it?

I just replaced a noisy cooling fan in my Mac Mini and when I go to put the top cover back on, the back part where all of the inputs and outputs doesn't seal with the top cover properly.

What the proper way to replace the top cover of the Intel Mac Mini?

edit: it's always the side where the power button is located that just doesn't seal completely like it should.

I always found it easy to put it back together upsidedown, so gravity would help the process. I usually just lined it up and started to press down, making sure the back panel slid in properly.

Do you pop the backside or front side in first?

(I think I bent some of those metal clips in the back during my initial attempts to put the cover back on. I rebent most of them, but I think I need to rebend one more. It fits ok right now, so I don't want keep opening it up again right now).

I usually tried to do it all at once, with the back facing me so I could make sure it went in right.

I believe you close the back first, then the front. FWIW, my Mac mini never realigned 100% when I put the cover back on. It's close enough and since it's a PPC G4 1.25 GHz (original mini), I don't really care.
