What's the procedure for hooking up an unlocked phone with T-Mobile?

I bought a Nokia XpressMusic 5310 from Bangladesh a while back. I brought it back (to the U.S.), and now am looking to find a provider for it. Apparently, T-Mobile fits the bill ideally with their Pay As You Go plan.

So now, what do I do?

This is what I suspect after looking around their website:

1) Buy one of these.
2) Stick SIM in phone.
3) Buy a prepaid card.

And then, I'm pretty much at a loss at what to do with the prepaid card. Anyone care to help, please? :)

Put the sim card in. Activate the card with the directions that I'm sure are on the card. That's it.

all you do is stick the sim in and turn the phone on. then follow any activation procedures specific to the sim. i've been using unlocked phones bought from elsewhere with t-mobile for the past 5 years.

It dials the 1800 number on the card, and it puts in the PIN, or it gets the hose!

Oh, sorry, forgot this wasn't OT. :p

Anyway, the prepaid card comes with direction on the back. With most of them, you call the number on the back of the card, punch in your PH# and punch in the PIN from the back of the prepaid card, and boom airtime.
