so, I wantted to know whats the point to lap a heatsink?

There's been a lot posted about this here, GalvanizedYankee is the go to guy. The fad for a while was to get a mirror finish but the main thing is just to make sure it's flat for better contact & heat dissipation.

well al I have here was a 400grit or 600 id onty rember but I only used that thats all I am going to do.
