What's the performance difference btw/ DFI Ultra-D and SLI-DR?

I'm looking for a good OC mobo that will get the most out of an Opteron 170 and a single X1900XT. I don't plan on using SLI, but I do want the maximum performance mobo.

I've been looking at the DFI Ultra-D and SLI-DR. I would like to know how much more gaming performance I would get if I got the SLI-DR over the Ultra-D.

If it's something like 1% difference then the $40-50 price difference and the power SLI-DR requires is deffinitely not worth it; but if I can expext more than 5% I'm considering the SLI mobo (but again, I will not use SLI)

Surely, if there is a better mobo (in terms of OC'd gaming performance) out there please feel free to suggest.

Thanks.

Bump... my question in short words is this:

is there *any* reason to get the SLI-DR over the Ultra-D if I'm *not* using SLI?

For me even a 5% performance gain would warrant the purchase of the SLI-DR.

There is no 5% performance difference between the twos. If there is 1% difference, the new revision Ulta-D probably has that advantage. 😀

So yeah the answer to your question is a resounding "no".

They are identical aside from the extra SATA controller on the SLI-DR. Both come in the new revision. If you're ready to spend more for marginal performance gains, I'm guessing the Expert might be 1% or so faster than either of these.
