Whats the opinion on Dell SXGA+ laptop screens ?

Are they bright enough ? The one I am looking at has a 1400x1100 resolution (or something roundabouts).

Any info appreciated.

My inspiron 8200 has an SXGA+ screen (1400x1050) and I LOVE it. It is by FAR the brightest LCD I've ever seen. I would give it 5 stars (out of 5). BTW, it's a Samsung.

I too purchased a SXGA+ 15" 8200 inspiron. I should be getting mine very soon.. hopefully by the end of this week. Id be more than happy to post my opinion when I receive it.

I have the 1400 x 1050 LCD on my Inspiron I7500. It's by far the best looking Notebook LCD I've ever seen. Image quality is super crisp and very bright. Some folks aren't too thrilled by with the high resolution because it make text a little small but it doesn't bother me and my eyes are no spring chickens!

Yea, I've got a SXGA+ LCD on my Inspiron 8100. Very nice LCD

Same here on my 8100. VERY nice LCD and bright! You'll love the image quality.

I have a Dell SXGA 14" and for a replacement ordered the SXGA+ (1400x1050) and I like the SXGA+ much better.
