I purchased a home last September with an attached 1 1/2 car garage, and I'm afraid to say that I find myself coming down with a bad case of tool lust. Sad thing is, it seems to have just started this week.
Coming from apartment living for the past few years, it's safe to say that my extent of tool ownership didn't go past a various assortment of cheap screwdrivers from WalMart and a cheap cordless 18v drill. However, I was employeed for almost 4 years at a job that taught me a lot about tools and craftmanship, a job that I recently left. Now that I own a house, I definitely have a few projects in mind once it starts to get a little warmer.
However, I can't do these jobs with tools. In the past couple of months, most of which has been in the past week, I've aquired a miter saw, mid-range corded drill, air compressor, a larger hammer, and various other tools such as cutting devices, vice grips, etc. I still have on my list to buy a very decent circular saw, saw horses, various bench and bar clamps, and whatever else I see at Lowes. Hell, I even want a planer, even though that definitely is above and beyond my scope right now.
So what is in your garage that you couldn't live without, or a tool that you wouldn't give up for the world?
