Since I've never left the states, for me it would be The Fort at Saint Augustine Florida.

The nations oldest school house is there as well.

I've seen the Anasazi ruins. But they ARE reconstructions for the most part.

Come on you world travelers!

my friend's house is over 230 years old.

Not that much of an amazement, but still pretty cool.

I love old houses! I grew up in old houses back in Ind. and Mo. My dad was a minister so we always lived in old houses owned by the church.

Old houses have so much class! :)

hmm...great topic! This will take some thinking. In New Orleans, the Old Ursuline Convent, which is the oldest building in NO (1745). In Rome, I guess the Coliseum. Is Pompeii older than that?

Oh and I was in some cave dwelling in Turkey from BC times. That wins!
oops..missed the no ruins thing.
hmm...in that case, the Pantheon isn't a ruin. That's pretty old.
In NA, Blackbeard's castle in St. Thomas has to be pretty old as well.
Oh, and a bunch of churches in Austria, Germany and Czech Republic have to be super old as well. How old is that big clock in Prague?

When I lived in Israel I was in buildings dating back thousands of years.
EDIT: Probably the Tomb of the Patriachs in Hebron. It's over 2,000 years old. Still perfectly intact.

In the United States - the Christopher Wren building, oldest continuously used academic building in America. In the world, I believe Notre Dame de Paris.

Boo, I was gonna say St. Augustine too.

Next oldest I guess are the Missions in CA.

His house is apparently haunted. I don't know if it is true or not, but multiple people have seen/heard things there that would lead to believe that it is. Can't say I necessarily believe in ghosts and whatnot, but it is still interesting.

Some castle(s) in Switzerland most likely.

EDIT: Wait, now that I think about it, what about The Great Wall or maybe the Palace in Beijing? Maybe they're all similar?

Jeez... the house next-door is 260 years old, I stood in his doorway when I asked if I could fish in his pond when I was 12... I was in some pretty old buildings in Spain, France, and Italy in high school... I'm going to go with the Colloseum (the one in Rome, not LA :))

Egyptian ruins, as part of an optional class archaeological excursion. Our teacher specialized in Egyptian pottery and was friends with alot of the people at the Cairo museum. I must say that the hieroglyphs look better (and cooler) in person then they do in pictures, books, and magazines. I drew alot of artifacts in my sketchbook too. It was a spring break I have had.

EDIT: I missed the NO RUINS thing in the title... so after that would be the Alamo probably.

Yeah, i would have said the Pyramids at Giza otherwise. I doubt anyone could come up with something to beat that.

Probably the Pantheon in Rome...I think that is quite a bit older than the Vatican, though I am not entirely sure. BTW, the Pantheon is freaking schweet...I highly recommend going to Italy.
