i think they will call it something else because it is a more advanced design thus it requires a new name. the key concept being the word NEW. Geforce is old.

geforce does have some brand recognition to it, though. might be voodoo though, since thats got a huge amound of brand recognition. and the majority of people will have no clue its a different company.

Nah, they only add a number when they re &quot;release&quot; a product with &quot;enhanced&quot; features to meet their 6 month release cycle. I.E. the TNT2, GeForce2, the NV20 is a totally new product.
