What's the obsession with Wrestling?

Like I said, what's the obsession with wrestling? WWF, WCW et al?

I don't like watching (and can't see the attraction of) 300pound guys with tanned, muscular bodies and over-greased hair pretending to get mad and throwing each other about-what's the point of watching a stage play with no story?

Not looking for flames, just like to know WHAT attracts ppl to wrestling matches.

Its a way out of your life. Just another form of &quot;escapism&quot;, like movies, tv shows, comics, books, what have you.

I watch it because I love the characters these guys put on, and I am AMAZED at the stuff they can do with their bodies (a 270 pound man doing flips in the air...).
