What's the nightlife like in Victoria, B.C.?

I'm going to be spending a week in Victoria in August. I'm planning on spending most of my days shopping and drinking on sunny patios. What's the nightlife like? I'd appreciate recommendations on good patios and bars/clubs.

Cheers.

Pretty fun. There isn't really much of a club scene there, but there are tons of bars. Downtown was pretty cool when I visited, it was just so expensive.

Tons of laid back pubs downtown. I can't give you specific names as I haven't visited in a couple of years unfortunately. Anywhere on the Inner Harbour is nice, but expensive. Wander a bit off the beaten track to find somewhere cool.

Man, people in Victoria have the lamest sounding accents ever, its like a canadian accent on crack. Also, when I went up there for a couple days 4 years back I did not see but like 2 good looking women in Victoria. However, the people were nice and the weather was awesome, plus the prices for stuff were actually very cheap (for instance, a cd that would normally cost 10 bucks in america costed 10 canadian dollar there)
